5K Races every Wednesday evening, except MAY 16th and JULY 4th.
13 Wednesday evenings of competition for serious runners and lots of fun for people who like to jog with friends.
Course
On the running trails along the shores of Bachman Lake. Flat and fast, partially shaded, asphalt course. Alternates between an out-and-back to the south, and a loop the lake route.
Directions
Pavilion A, 3350 Lakefield Park, Dallas, Tx 75201.
From US 75: Go west on Northwest Hwy (Loop 12) for 4 miles. Cross under Marsh Lane/Lemmon Avenue. At the second light, turn Left on Lakefield Blvd. Look for the white stone pavilion.
From I-35: Go west on Northwest Hwy for 1 mile. Cross Webb Chapel At the first light, turn Right on Lakefield Blvd. Look for the white stone pavilion.
Registration and Packet Pick-up
Begins 30 minutes before race start under the white stone pavillion inside the park near the intersection of Lakefield and Northwest Hwy
Fees
$160 for Adults by May 4th, $185 thereafter
$110 for Children of adults registered for series
$25 One Race

$25 at Bachman Lake each Wed, 6:30-6:55pm
Event Shirt
All Series Entrants are guaranteed a Jogger Summer Series Tech T-shirt. New weekly entrants will receive shirts for as long as they last.

1st Overall Male & Female
1st Masters Male & Female
Top 3 in age groups:
12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24
65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over
Top 5 in age groups:
25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64
Top 3 Female Athena (over 150 lbs)
Top 5 Male Clydesdale (over 200-214 lbs)
Top 3 Male Rhino (215-239 lbs)
Top 3 Male Hippo (240+)
Clydesdale, Rhino, & Hippo are not eligible for age group awards.
First person across the line wins; awards are based on Gun Time.
You must be at the awards ceremony to receive your award. Awards will not be presented after race day.
Water Stations
When the course is out-and-back, you will pass the water station twice. It will be located close to the 1 mile and the 2 mile marks.
When the course is a loop of the lake the water station will be close to the half-way point; 1.5 mile mark.
Ice cold water and Gatorade served.
Refreshments
Refreshments will be served after the event including Gatorade, Water, Sodas & Ice Cold Water Melon.
Weight Groups
Female Athena (over 150 lbs)
Male Clydesdale (190-214 lbs)
Male Rhino (215-239 lbs)
Male Hippo (over 240 lbs)
Weight groups are not eligible for age group awards. If you qualify for a weight group but choose to lose weight into a lower weight group during the summer you must report your new weight in writing so it can be changed in the computer. You cannot change to a heavier weight group if you gain weight back again.
Series Awards
At the end of the summer, personalized plaques will be presented to all participants who finished at least 9 of the 13 weekly 5K races. Places are based on your fastest time of the summer and age as of last race.
Top 5 male & female (39 & under)
Top 5 master male & female (40-49)
Top 5 grandmasters male & female (50-59)
Top 3 seniors male & female (60 & over)
All others who finished at least 9 races.
Awards will be presented at the Daylight to Darkness 5-mile which will start at 7:00pm, Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012, at the Bath House Cultural Center, White Rock Lake.
Results
Results will be sent to The News’ running blog, the Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star Telegram, Runner Triathlete News and Cline's Running Corner.
